Event photography blocks

Pax Pictura photographs events in a two-hour Event Block on the Gulf Coast. The block is for parties, milestones, showers, and corporate gatherings. It is a defined window of time, not an open-ended evening. The price is on the booking page. This page explains what the two hours cover.

If the gathering is a wedding ceremony or a wedding day, use Wedding Day, Ceremony, or Elopement instead. Those sessions are listed separately. We will help you choose if you tell us what the event actually is.

What fits in two hours

An Event Block covers two hours at one location we have confirmed. Typical uses are a birthday, a retirement, an office gathering, a shower, or a small party where you want the room and the people photographed with care.

Two hours is enough for arrivals, a toast, a few group portraits, and the middle of the party. It is not enough for a full wedding day. If your plan has a ceremony and a long reception, say so. We will point you to the wedding sessions rather than stretch an event block past what it is.

Tell us the start time that matters. Some hosts want the first hour of guest arrivals. Some want the speech and the cake. We book the two hours you request when we are free, and we stay inside them.

Where we work

Pensacola, Gulf Breeze, Navarre, Destin, and the rest of the Gulf Coast are all possible, once we confirm the place you name. Pax Pictura LLC comes to the place in the written confirmation. We also confirm whether any travel cost applies.

A private room, a restaurant, a backyard, or a rented hall can all work. Tell us if the event is indoors, outdoors, or both. Tell us if there is a short program, such as remarks or a presentation, that has to be photographed. We will be in place for that if it falls inside the two hours.

If the group will move, for example from a porch to a dining room, say so. We can move with you inside the block. A second address across town is a different question, and we will answer it in writing before you book.

How we photograph a gathering

We stay observant and we interrupt only when a portrait needs it. We will tell a small group where to stand if you want a clear frame of them. We will not stop a speech to restage it.

Send a short list of people who should be in at least one photo: a guest of honor, a manager, a grandparent, the hosts. We keep the list with us. Spellings help if names will matter later.

We choose and edit the final images in a consistent natural style. Unedited files are not included. The gallery is the edit, not every frame from the room.

Crowded rooms and mixed lighting are normal. We work with the light that is there. If you can seat the toast away from a bright window behind the speaker, the photographs of that toast will be easier to look at. If you cannot, we will still photograph it.

Before the date

Request the block on the booking page. Nothing is charged when you request a session. We confirm your booking in writing before the date. The note names the session, the place, and the two-hour window.

You can reschedule at no charge with at least 7 days' notice for sessions other than Wedding Day, Ceremony and Elopement. If the event itself moves, write as soon as the new time is real.

Tell us the host's name and the email that should receive the gallery if it is not the person who booked. We will follow that.

The gallery and the license

We aim to deliver the edited online gallery through ShootProof within 6 weeks (usually 3 to 6) for weddings and 3 weeks for other sessions. An Event Block follows the three-week aim. You will get an email when the gallery is ready. You can view and download the photos from there.

You receive a personal-use license. You may print the photos, share them, and post them. We may use the photographs in our portfolio unless you opt out in writing. Company gatherings that should stay off our portfolio need that opt-out in writing. We will honor it.

Prints can be ordered from the gallery later. Hosts sometimes want a few prints for the guest of honor. Order when you know which frames you want. There is no requirement to order on delivery day.

If you are not sure it is an event

Write with two or three sentences: what the gathering is, how long it lasts, and where it is. We will tell you whether Event Block is the right session or whether you are describing a wedding. That reply is part of the request. Nothing is charged when you request a session.

Corporate teams who also need matching portraits can ask about Headshots Team. That is a different session, for at least three people, and it is listed on the booking page. We can talk about both, and we will keep them separate unless you want them on the same day and the hours allow it.

Request an event block

Use the button at the end of this page and choose Event Block. If you want to describe the gathering first, email info@paxpictura.com with the date, the town, and the two hours you care about.
