Family portrait sessions in Pensacola and Gulf Breeze
Pax Pictura photographs family portraits in Pensacola and Gulf Breeze, and in nearby Gulf Coast towns when we confirm the location. Family Hour is one hour. It is enough time for parents, children, and the grandparents who want to be in the frame, without turning the afternoon into a long production.
Come as you are, in clothes you already like. We will tell you where to stand.
What Family Hour is
Family Hour is a one-hour session for the people you bring. That might be a household of four, a new baby with parents, or three generations together for one portrait everyone can agree on. It is not a wedding session and it is not an event block. Those are separate sessions on the booking page.
The price is listed on the booking page with the other sessions. This page explains how the hour works.
We choose and edit the final images in a consistent natural style. Unedited files are not included. You receive the edit, and you can download it when the gallery is ready.
Pensacola, Gulf Breeze, and a place that fits
Portraits work in a yard, a park, a beach, or a quiet corner of a neighborhood in Pensacola or Gulf Breeze. They also work in Navarre, Destin, and other spots on the Gulf Coast when travel is confirmed. Tell us the place you have in mind. We confirm in writing whether we can meet you there and whether any travel cost applies.
Pax Pictura LLC comes to the location in the confirmation. If you are unsure between two spots, name both and we will say which one is kinder to the light and to small children.
Shade matters in the middle of the day. A tree, a porch, or the side of a building is often better than open sand at noon. If you have a preference, say so. If you do not, we will choose with you when we confirm.
How the hour goes
We start simply. We place the adults first, then bring children in, then make a few frames of smaller groups if you want them. We tell you where to put your hands and where to look. You do not have to be formal, and you do not have to be silly. Ordinary affection photographs well.
Children wander. That is part of the hour, not a problem to apologize for. We leave room for it and we also make a few still portraits while everyone is in one place. If a child needs a break, we take it. An hour includes that.
Grandparents are welcome. If someone cannot stand for long, tell us and we will plan the portrait so they can sit. If someone would rather not be in the photos, we will leave them out.
Bring any small item you want in a frame, such as a book or a blanket, and also feel free to bring nothing. We do not need props to make the hour work.
Clothes, time of day, and the coast
Wear what you want to be seen in later. Matched outfits are optional. A simple agreement, such as everyone in a color you already own, is enough if you want the group to read as one family. Avoid a wardrobe plan that takes longer to explain than the hour itself.
Late afternoon is often easier on eyes than bright midday, but we book the time you request if we are free. Say whether you are tied to nap time, a school pickup, or a grandparent who is only in town that day. We fit the hour to that schedule.
Wind on the Gulf Coast will move hair and hems. That is fine. If you want a sheltered spot, say so when you request the date.
The gallery
We aim to deliver the edited online gallery through ShootProof within 6 weeks (usually 3 to 6) for weddings and 3 weeks for other sessions. Family Hour follows the three-week aim. You will get an email when the gallery is ready. You can view and download the photos there.
You receive a personal-use license. You may print the photos, share them, and post them. We may use the photographs in our portfolio unless you opt out in writing. A short written note is enough to opt out.
Prints can be ordered from the gallery when you want them. Parents and grandparents often want a paper copy. You can order when you are ready. There is no rule that you decide on delivery day.
Booking and changes
Request the hour on the booking page. Nothing is charged when you request a session. We confirm your booking in writing before the date. You can reschedule at no charge with at least 7 days' notice for sessions other than Wedding Day, Ceremony and Elopement.
If someone in the family cannot come after all, the hour can still happen. Tell us who will be there so we plan the groups honestly.
Request a session
Use the button at the end of this page to open the booking page and choose Family Hour. If you would rather write first, email info@paxpictura.com with the town, the people coming, and a few times that work.
